THOUGHTS
Ps 90:14 O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, That we may sing for joy and be
glad all our days.
I have had a song on my mind for several days now, Highly Exalted. It is
an absorbing process. Everything stops as my thoughts burst into the
chorus...”For God has highly exalted your Name...” Singing is a gift
from God. I’m convinced HE made us to sing.
Ps 9:2 I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to
Your name, O Most High.
You say “I’m tone deaf, I don’t like to sing.” Here’s your
verse!
1Cor 14:15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the
spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I
will sing with the mind also.
God uses our singing for our collective benefit.
Eph 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you,
with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Singing is special with us. I hope you have memorized the books of the
bible. If you have, the NT is most likely connected to a little
song. The song helps the process!
Jas 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? [Then] he must
pray. Is
anyone cheerful? He
is to sing praises.
I surely hope you are cheerful this morning. It is “TO THE LORD” that we sing first!
Ps 104:33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Ps 98:4 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; Break
forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
Ps 19:1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And
their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Ps 65:13 The meadows are clothed with flocks And the valleys are
covered with grain; They shout for joy, yes, they sing.
Ps 96:11-13 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
Let the sea roar, and all it contains; 12 Let the field exult, and
all that is in it. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy 13
Before the LORD, for He is coming, For He is coming to judge the earth. He
will judge the world in righteousness And the peoples in His faithfulness.
My Prayer:
Our Lord come. We sing praises and exult your name. May we live
this life with a song of your greatness in our hearts. May that song
spill over into our lives that we may be light and salt to this world.
May we sing with joy and may we rejoice in our living with you, Oh God.
Thank you for life in the Spirit. Continually restore to us the joy of
your salvation. Help us to always see the victory that is in Christ
Jesus.
In the name of our Savior. Amen
